PumaByte is a company made by four high school students from Australia, Ethiopia and Israel. PumaByte's name was created using two words, 'Puma' and 'Byte'. 'Puma' is an animal from the family Felidae. 'Byte' is associated with electronics and virtual items. A Puma is a strong animal and we chose 'Byte' instead of 'Bite' because PumaByte is a computing unit of information (like Gigabytes and Kilobytes) equal to the strength of a Puma (We actually made that up!). It may sound a bit confusing to you but you will eventually get the meaning of our name!

 Our company was created in late 2019 with the intention of winning first prize in our school's invention day -- and we did win first prize. Since then, two of our four members moved to live overseas and we got promoted to compete in a sub-city competition. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic had hugely affected our company in several ways. Therefore, we decided making our company more of a virtual services type which would be better for the health and safety of everyone. For people who are wanting to purchase physical items, we have listed them in the Shop section. 

We all got together because we all had experience in coding HTML, CSS, JavaScript and back-end and front-end web development.
